3 months to go!

We can hardly believe that it is just under three months until we leave for Peru! Our visa documents are now being processed in Lima, so we await news of that in due course and we are now into our final half term at IMC. Vaccinations, dental checks and eye tests are the next priority as well as the course work which we need to finish off. It's getting very exciting, but also a little crazy!

We had a brief break from the lists of jobs last week as we enjoyed a family holiday in the New Forest. We spent time doing various energetic activities such as mountain biking, walking, going to the gym and swimming,  and afterwards we relaxed by watching films, visiting friends and sampling the sauna, steam room and hot tub available in the complex. Julia and the ladies of the family also thoroughly enjoyed a pamper session at the local Day Spa. All in all it was a great week!

On our way back to not so sunny Birmingham we stopped off at Easthampstead Baptist Church near Bracknell where we met another of our link up groups. EBC is linked with Wokingham Baptist Church and Crowthorne Baptist Church and it was great to meet representatives from each of the churches. A tea was laid on for us on Saturday evening where we were able to share a little of our stories and share requests for prayer and then at this morning's service we were interviewed by Chris Porter, the minister at Easthampstead, and Julia did a short talk. We met many new friends there and look forward to keeping in touch in future months. Thanks to everyone who made us feel so welcome.
