Diolch Gogledd Teifi!

We're just back from a lovely weekend in west Wales with the Gogledd Teifi Link-Up group, which consists of six small chapels in and around Lampeter.

On Saturday we had lunch with representatives from all the chapels then spent the afternoon touring the chapels and meeting some of the people who worship at each one. In the evening, after dinner in Aberaeron, we had a social evening at another of the chapels, where we were able to meet people and share briefly about our stories so far and what we're likely to be doing in Peru.

On Sunday, after an amazing cooked breakfast(!), we attended a joint service for all the chapels at which Julia gave a short talk and James preached. For lunch around 35 people all came out for a carvery roast dinner at the university. We were made to feel incredibly welcome and really appreciate the huge amounts of time and effort that many people put into our stay. We are really looking forward to building relationships and getting to know people here better and better over the next few years. Thank you for a great weekend!

Maesteg Link Up Visit

Today we had a flying visit to Maesteg in south Wales to meet another of our Link Up groups. We spent the evening with the local 'Zenana', which is a women's prayer group with historical links to BMS' work amongst women in India. Representatives from all the local chapels were there, and we were able to share about our journey so far, our call to Peru and a bit about what we think life will be like when we get there. We really enjoyed our time in Maesteg, and again it is hugely encouraging to know that we have so many dedicated people praying for us and interested in what we feel God is calling us to do.
