About Us

Hi and welcome to our blog. We are long-term mission personnel with BMS World Mission and are currently living in Urubamba, Peru. Here we are involved in church planting on behalf of the Peruvian Baptist Convention.

We met in the Autumn of 2007 and were married in September 2009 whilst at Spurgeon's College in London. Following theological training, we were both ordained as ministers in the Baptist Union of Great Britain. We're passionate about the local church and the difference it can make in people's lives. We're particularly keen to work out with the Peruvian people what church might 'look like' in their context and explore ways of building missional community.

James loves photography, walking and climbing. Prior to attending Spurgeon's College he cared for adults with learning disabilities and volunteered with a sailing charity teaching young people to sail.

Julia loves music and especially singing. She also likes drinking coffee with friends and walking in the countryside. Before Spurgeon's she was an Occupational Therapist, and worked primarily with a Community Rehab Team in Hampshire.

Katie loves meeting Peruvians, rolling on her playmat and chewing (pretty much everything!) She was born in January 2013, and is fairly nonplussed about this mission lark at the moment.

Do get in touch if  you would like to know more about us and please check out our prayer letters below.

Thanks for praying. We know that God answers prayer and it means a lot to know that you're standing with us as we share the good news and the love of Jesus with the Andean people.
